Good news! My research has been accepted to an academic conference! Is it funny to anyone else but me that my research was on Harry Potter online fandom? Anyhow, this is extremely exciting as it will by my first academic conference and I'll get to be a presenter! In case you're really interested: http://www.popularculture.org/index.asp. This also means I can apply for university money and maybe get my trip paid for. Yeah! It's at time like these that I feel extremely blessed. I love my education, and I can't believe that I'm getting money to do what I'm doing.

I've been doing a lot of proofreading, which is good, but there was quite a bit of drama on Monday when they moved our office to a place that looks horrid--nails sticking out out of the walls and chunks missing from the tile. So today I got to stay in my pajamas and proofread at home while they make it presentable.
