Semiotics and Socials

Bring on the Barthes! In my Media and Cultural Theory class we're already into the crazy world of signs. I'm incredibly thankful for Film Theory and Sharon. I still don't think I agree with all that Barthes says. What if one cultural sign means something else to you than the dominate group? Especially in cases of multicultural people, which meaning wins out?

I've also dubbed Institute the blackhole. You can't ever just spend a minute there. What with all the food, and the random people who want to talk to you.
